ABANDONED ELDERLY

Every day life becomes more complicated for poor people, they blame the situation of the country. With the arrival of Venezuelan to Colombia, work has become scarce, the streets are full of people in parks, platforms, courts, etc.

Food is more expensive and with what you could previously buy the , now  you can only buy a single meal.

In the town where I am, the home of the elderly was closed, in that place the grandparents received a snack at 10 o’clock in the morning and a rich, nutritious and delicious lunch at 12 noon, they also did recreational and sports activities .

Now the elderly, wander through the town looking for someone to give them bread to eat, most of these families are very poor and do not have to eat as they would like.

We have found a group of grandparents, who are quite old; doing very heavy work. They throw garbage, to earn any currency, they sell mangoes, they milk cows, they sell firewood, among others. It is sad to see these grandparents, tired by the passage of time, keeping the situation so hard

Nobody seems to care about their sad situation.

Let’s not forget that they were also like, full of life, who worked to feed, clothe and take care of their families. Today we see the lonely, sad, tired and hungry for these dusty streets.

Many of these grandparents arrive at my parents’ house, my mother is very attentive and gives them something to eat and drink, but it is not enough. We want to do more, now that they have nowhere to go, where to have fun, where to eat, this is the time to help. It is necessary to build a wide welcoming place, with professional people and passionate about their work.

The house of the grandparents, it is my priority, to be with them in this beautiful stage of life, to take care of them, to protect them as they once did with their children.

Economic and personal resources are required for the care of our elderly. A house, your home, where they can be happy, happy, well fed, doing sports.

Whoever wants to collaborate with our seniors and join this cause, we can approach and verify directly what we want to do, for the good of the grandparents.
